Before the photo shoot

My photo shoots are very relaxed, even before they start:

We find a location that suits you and your dog, and that has the look you want:  We wanted to benefit from the beautiful orange hues of the autumn, but also have some proper mad fun. So we chose a location that has a woodland near a park. And we went to both of them.

Ask me any questions you might have: really anything! Even if it is just your ideal doggy outfit like colour for collar or harness would look best and go with your clothes. I am here to help!

Then you grab your dog and meet me to have your photos taken.

At our relaxed dog walk photo shoot in Surrey

As soon as we left the mad crouds, she blossomed. She was curious about every tree, post, and blade of grass.

And eventually she decided it was time to check me out. She found me distincly un-ineresting.

After we had walked a little bit, she kept looking at me and at her mum as to say “Is this one ours now?” So she had another sniff at me and decided that I was sufficiently interesting to look when I called.

That’s all I need for great photos!

And then she came running, like they all do.

However, I think she just had the zoomies to be honest. It doesn’t really matter which one it is. She was happy with me being there, and that’s all it takes to get great phoos.

And look at that backdrop! I think it perfectly fulfilled the brief for autumn colour dog walk photo shoot in Surrey. And of coure we quickly went to the park after for a bit of a ball game. Whoohoo!

After the photo shoot

I know you will be impatient to see the photos. So let me tell you what I do inbetween our photo shoot and you getting the link to your password-protected online gallery.

You will be forgiven for thinking that running around, rolling on the ground, carrying heavy camera gear, being jumped at by dogs, getting drenched by your dog at your photo shoot… (the list goes on like the never ending sequels of a certain Christmas action movie) is the hard work .

But really, while physically exhausting, that’s the biggest fun part of the job. I mean, who does not like a cuddle from a dog they just met an hour ago!

For me, the hard work starts after the photo shoot.

When I get home, I back up your photos and start editing them.

No, as much as I would like it, the photos from my dog walk photo shoots in Surrey rarely come out of the camera ready to share.

There is usually a dog bin in the background, slobber on your clothing… Or, if your dog doesn’t like flash, then there will also be harsh shadows on your and your dogs faces that need addressing… that’s what I will be doing for days on end.

But they wait is worth it. Don’t take my word for it, just look at the photos.

Are all my fun dog walk photo shoots in Surrey or Guildford?

Not necessarily.

I am based in Guildford, and most of my clients are in the area.

However, I have photographed dogs in surrounding counties like for example Hampshire and West Sussex. I have even done some lovely beach photo shoots as far away as Cornwall.
